Henry Narvick, a Norwegian Immigrant settled with his family in Morris, Illinois and begins Building Houses, Cabinets and Barns from what he learned growing up in Norway.
Henry forms Narvick Brothers Lumber Co., INC.
Selling Hardware, Lumber and other Building Materials all while building many barns and commercial properties throughout Morris and Grundy County, IL areas with his two sons Alvin and Hank Narvick.
Henry’s two boys Al and Hank return home from service in WWII the brothers saw an opportunity to grow the company in both ways, Contracting from the few commercial and residential projects they were completing yearly and Building Material Suppliers.
Al and Hank Narvick bought their first New Lumber delivery truck, a 1956 DeKalb Lumberjack. This truck featured a flat deck, one seat and a storage compartment below the deck.
Armstrong St. was developed in Morris, which allowed the company to move their main entrance to the North end of the property. Which is still the current Main Office for Narvick Bros.
Art Narvick purchased their first Laser – a 90 degree split beam Laser for layout.
Narvick Brothers Lumber Company invited ServiStar to be the hardware buying group.
